2015 LIC ARTS OPEN 5: Open Studios

May 15, 5-7pm

May 16 & 17, 12-6pm

I will once again be opening my studio to the public (see map on right) during the exciting 2015 LIC Arts Open festival. Hot off the press will be the first "Holding Up the Sky", another work that is part of my project inspired by Mao Zedong's phrase, "Women hold up half the sky" and the opposing practice of female subjugation and gendercide. (See the 2 posts below to get details of the 2 shows I am in during the festival!!!)

SHATTERING EXPECTATIONS: MOSAICS 2014

"MISS WILLENDORF" and "MISS CYCLADES" are headed for Philadelphia, to hold court in Isaiah Zagar's Magic Gardens Gallery March 7 - April 20, 2014!  I am honored to have been invited by curator/juror Nancie Mills Pipgras (of Mosaic Art Now fame, www.mosaicartnow.com) to be a featured artist in "Shattering Expectations: Mosaics 2104". Seven high quality, award-winning artists, three invited, 4 juried in, will show multiple works showcasing the broad spectrum of what is happening today in mosaics as fine art in America.  This will be a very exciting and eye-opening show that will live up to its name!

Stay tune for more details!
